I'm heading over to Az. (from LA) for a week or so during Christmas.
Been reading up on the Cabeza Prieta Wilderness and it looks pretty great, as does the Muggins Mountains Preserve which is along the way.
Has anyone been to either place, or have any recommendations of side trips along the way? I think I will take the 10 to Ajo, and head down, but wondering if the 8 may be better.
