Hi everyone
My family and I are traveling from bc canada, and going to the quartzite and tuscon rock shows. We were wondering about close places to harvest white sage as we love this plant soo much and would love to see it in its natural enviroment.
thanks hjeron

Re: Harvesting white sage???
Sat, February 19, 2005 - 7:02 AMA cpl years ago, while at Verde Hot Springs, we met a young hippie couple who were making/selling white sage smudge sticks. She walked into camp with a skirt full. I believe she said across the river from the cg, but can't recall any better directions than that.
Googling Verde Hot Springs should yield decent info on getting there.

Re: Harvesting white sage???
Sun, September 11, 2005 - 6:01 AMharvesting white sage is a sacred task, sometimes taking a full day to make the "specified" trip all the worth while,. unfortunately salvia apiana grows only 2 places in the world (indigenously) southern california and israel, i know of a couple places to get slavia,.. but i will not post on a local board,.. i do get part of my inventory from private property in san bernardino county,.. i live in quartzsite,.. if you are feeling froggy,.. i can take you on a picking binge -

Re: Harvesting white sage???
Sun, October 2, 2005 - 9:58 AMI am heading back to quartzsite for the rock and jem show
and will be travelling around untill the end of february.
It has been a mission now for two years to harvest this medicine in a sacred way for intentional use.
I would love to meet, and possibly go on a harvest mission.

Re: Harvesting white sage???
Thu, July 13, 2006 - 1:33 PMHey,
I live in Fresno, Ca. and wish to travel to the coast and harvest some sage for smudgeing for personal use and to give me an excuse to get out of this 100 and too dam hot weather for the weekend. Can you send me a harvest location on the central or southern California coast?
I'd be forever grateful
Thanks,
