I'm heading to Kofa NWR for Christmas and staying thru New Years.
Any recommendations on the most remote places in the reserve?
I'm thinking of the central portion.

Thanks

Kofa is pretty much my favorite place in AZ. The roads are decent, but still bad enough to keep out most of the masses.
Almost every place is remote. I usually sleep in the southern part near Castle Dome Peak. It's beautiful, quiet and absolutely desolate.
Don't miss Palm Canyon though: about 30 miles further north on 95. There might actually be people out there though because it's somewhat well-known.

      Great Colin, thanks.

A ranger told me the same thing about the southern end. I was thinking about Castle Dome.
Glad you like the place. I've never been so I'm stoked.
      Thanks again.

I'll actually be out there on Thursday night on my way to LA. I'll try to take some good pictures.

I'll miss you by one day.

The full moon should be great there on Sat.
