There's a small cafe which is the center of it all, geesh I don't know the new name but it used to be called "the paisley Violin" on Roosevelt and 3rd street. Hmmm what else? 7th Avenue between Indian School and Camelback has somewhat of a funky scene, they try to do the same thing now every 1st Friday You should also take time to check out South Scottsdale, around 5th Avenue and Scottsdale Road, you have to visit AZ88's but that's pricey but a fun martini/ food bar. And Tempe on Mill Avenue on Friday and Saturday or anyday would be great.
