Sat, December 31, 2005 - 7:41 AMQuartzite??? are rockhounds of the world uniting at your doorstep for the big show? I have always wanted to check that out....any good exploring hikes out your way?? I did go out to the potato patch and geode hunt once its really nice this time of year. -

Sun, January 1, 2006 - 6:24 AMyes the rockhounds of the world are uniting, gathering, enptying thier barrels of rocks to re unite with mother earth for one last time before they are thrust into a world of light and spectacle for all to enjoy thier beauty
and there are many rockhounding areas and hikes here to work yer muscles,.. if yer a rock hound already,.. thats even better as the mountains here have lots of old mines,.. and seeing as they were looking for gold,...they were not looking for anything else,.. so ya never know what you will find -
